Mary Louise Gautreaux, 76, of Lake Charles died on Tuesday, November 01, 2016 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Gautreaux was born on July 20, 1940 in Ville Platte where she was also raised. She moved to Lake Charles in the early 1960’s. Mrs. Gautreaux was a faithful member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and also belonged to the Altar Society. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Karen Courville (Steve) of Kinder, Lt. Col. (Retired) Paul J. Gautreaux (Diane) of Lake Charles, and Karla Duplichan (Larry) of Katy, TX; her sister and best friend, Margaret Hendrix of Lake Charles; two brothers, Charles Bordelon (Gwen) of Ville Platte and Joseph Bordelon (Lisa) of Baton Rouge; her beloved grandchildren, Julian Gautreaux, Brian Courville, Jamie Monroe, Amanda Knapick, Matthew Courville, Nathan Courville, Jordan Gautreaux, Hayden Duplichan, and Katie Scarlett Duplichan; and five precious great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George Gautreaux, Jr. and a daughter, Katie Lynn Gautreaux.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Marcus Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:30 PM.
