Mary "Cissy" Louise Nunez

Mary “Cissy” Louise Nunez, born in Munice, IN on July 28, 1956, daughter of the late James Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Blouch) Bell, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of sixty-eight.

Cissy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a sitter. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in law, Wynita Nunez; father-in-law, Gordon Nunez; sister-in-law, Anita Bell; niece, Tessa Bell.

Survivors are her loving husband of forty-five years, Daniel Nunez; sons, Brian Nunez (Stacy), Wayne Nunez (Brandie); brothers, Philip Bell, James Bell (Cindy); sisters, Ann Newman (Dupre), Nancy Thomas; grandchildren, Jayden and Ellee Nunez.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerish George, M.O.C., Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sweetlake Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins on Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
