Mary Evelyn Lyles, 75, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, in her residence surround by her family.
Mary was born October 10, 1942, to the late James and Leona (Folk) Howard in Forest Hill, LA. She worked for American Press for many years. Mary enjoyed making jewelry, reading, puzzles and loved fried catfish.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Cooper of Starks, LA, Lenis Prine of Hitchcock, TX, Margaret Gardines of Santa Fe, TX, Jodie Brown of Lake Charles, LA, Diana Lyles Pailette and husband Jerril of Ragley, LA, Crystal Lyles Sipes and husband Ricky of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Hazel McEacham of Shreveport, LA; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
Memorial service will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 1 p.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home - Iowa with Rev. Bobbie Yellott officiating. Gathering of family and friends will begin Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
