Mary N. Manuel 74, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 29, 1944 in Welsh, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Cecile Richard O’Blanc.
She was a graduate of Welsh High School. Mary loved spending time with family, enjoyed fishing, dancing and the casino.
Survivors are fiancé, Delton Teal of Lake Arthur; children, Jeffery “Bubba” Manuel, Jr. of Jennings, Kenneth Manuel (Shelly) of Lacassine, Susan Fontenot (Donald) of Iowa, Donna Andrepont (Robert) of Iowa, Kathy Manuel (Mike Andrus) of Hayes, Cary Teal (Rachel) of Tucson, Pam Bourque (Chris) of New Iberia, Ramona Ryder (Wilford) of Lake Arthur, Dana Gotte (Harvey) of Jennings; siblings, George O’Blanc of Thornwell, Helen Lopez (Elray) of Jennings, Dorothy Guidry (Elton) of Kinder, Theresa Langley (Phil) of Kinder; 17 grandchildren, ; 12 great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jeffery Manuel; great grandson, Grayson Scott Burnett.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Friday, August 2, 2019 in the funeral home from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and resumes Saturday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
