Mary Margaret Mitchell

Mary Margaret Mitchell, 64, of Lake Charles died at 4:24 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in a local hospital.

Ms. Mitchell was born on January 2, 1952 in Lake Charles where she resided all of her life and was a graduate of St. Margaret Catholic School. She was a registered nurse in the area for many years. Ms. Mitchell was a long time volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mandy Guidry (Jason); two grandsons, Michael Guidry (Samantha) and Justin Guidry; a great granddaughter, Bella Guidry all of Hayes, LA; a nephew, Jay Eben Mitchell of Shreveport; and two nieces, Jesse Mitchell of Shreveport and Anna Katherine Mitchell of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Allen Mitchell and a brother, Jeffrey Stephen Mitchell.

Private services were conducted under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery.
