Bell City ~ Mary Louise Miller Guidry, born October 10, 1946 in Creole, daughter of the late Philbert and Natalie Duhon Miller, passed away in a local care facility, Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the age of 73.
Mary was a graduate of Creole High School. She devoted her life to her husband; siblings; nieces; and her church. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Mary enjoyed baking; gardening; bingo and celebrating Mardi Gras season.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Urick D. Guidry’ brother, Joseph Miller; niece/caregiver, Annie Jo Mallett (Douglas); devoted nephews, Josh LeBouef; James “Jimbo” Langley (Ashley); and many more nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; siblings, Evelyn Godfrey; Dorothy Mae LeBouef; Maria “Susie” Dyson; Wilford Miller; Paul Wesley Miller.
A Mass of Christian burial is Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bell City. Rev. John Payne, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Tuesday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will resume Wednesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
