Mary Sue Collins Murphy

Mary Sue Collins Murphy, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2015 in a local care facility. She was born on October 17, 1923 in Barham, LA and was married to Arthur Murphy for almost fifty years. She lived in Lake Charles for most of her life and was a founding member of the LaGrange Lunch Bunch. She was a wonderful cook and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Murphy; her son, Arthur Brent Murphy; and her parents, Inez and Daniel Collins. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Dr. Terrell Louis Murphy and wife Anita; her grandchildren Michelle and husband Jay Hennessey, Crystal Aymond, Lindsey and husband Brandon Bruchhaus, and Andrew Murphy; great-grandchildren, Taylor Aymond, Justin Aymond, Amanda Aymond and Jax Bruchhaus; as well as three great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her loyal caregiver, Carolyn and her physician, Dr. Louise Becnel. A memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date. The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.
