Mary Jane Trahan Guillory

Mary Jane Trahan Guillory, born in Maurice, Louisiana on September 21, 1936, daughter of the late Avery and Rita (Granger) Trahan, passed away in her daughter’s residence on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the age of eighty-eight.
A graduate of Fenton High School, Mary Jane worked as the cafeteria manager for Fenton High School. She was of the catholic faith. She loved card games, specifically Bourree, Rummy, and 9-hole golf. Her sweet smile will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grady Joseph Guillory, Sr.; son, Grady “Junior” Joseph Guillory, Jr.; grandson, Jayden Ramirez; siblings, Nolan Trahan, John Trahan, Helen Fontenot, and son-in-law, Paul “Buddy” Soileau.
Survivors are her daughters, Faye Soileau, and Cindy Guidry; siblings, Clifford Trahan (Louella), Bonnie Sluder, Diane Duplantis, and Katy Sonnier; grandchildren, Alex Guidry, Courtlin Guillory, Desira Mixon (Russell), Lacie Soileau, and Mandy Guillory; great-grandchildren, Dallin, Macie, Sadie, Paisley, Colton, Hayden and Weston.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 9 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery in Hecker under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Monday at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.
