Mary Alice Williams, a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, born on April 22, 1939, daughter of the late Asa and Cammie Jean Newton, passed away surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at the age of 82.
Mary Alice lived in Lake Charles for 60 years and Iowa for the last 4 years. She loved watching the Golden Girls, but most of all, she loved being with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Herschel Williams, Sr. and son, Herschel Williams, Jr.
Survivors are her daughters, Marylane Seago and husband, Michael; Shanie Barrow, and Blanche Renae Williams, all of Iowa; sister, Bitsy Cart of Lake Charles; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and 1 grand-dog, Izzy.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gilbert Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Dry Creek. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
