Mathew Darren Hillman

Mathew Darren Hillman, 21, of Sulphur passed away on November 12, 2017 in his residence. He was a member of New Destiny Church, enjoyed singing in church, SHS Football games and the band, baseball, playing “buddy ball”, and going to the movies.

Mathew is survived by his parents, Richard Hillman of Sulphur and Sherlina “Shane” Domingue of Vinton; a sister, Meggan Hillman of Alexandria, LA; four brothers, Andrew Hillman of Sulphur, Johnny Roper of DeRidder, LA, Justin Roper and wife Meghann of Magnolia, Delaware, and Joel Roper and fiancé, Leslie Millan of Port Arthur, TX; paternal grandmother Mary Hillman of Epps, LA; maternal grandmother, Linda Wettemann and husband Ron of Sulphur; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Roper; maternal grandfather, Elvin Domingue; and paternal grandfather, Walter “Sonny Boy” Sidney Hillman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Cochran and Rev. Steve Hillman officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Wednesday, November 15 at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
