Matthew David Fontenot

Matthew David Fontenot, 37, of Sulphur, LA passed away on August 29, 2021, following a vehicle accident.

Matthew was born on September 15, 1983, in Sulphur, LA to Darrell and Leenette Fontenot. He enjoyed his job as a counselor helping anyone that he could. Matthew was an avid swimmer and soccer player and loved being around family and friends. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 2001. Matthew also enjoyed working at the Villa Harlequin of Lake Charles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Darrell Fontenot; mother, Leenette Wilder Fontenot; and one sister, Christine Fontenot Poe.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.
