Maurice Lloyd "Mo" Conner, born on July 4, 1963, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, in Iowa, Louisiana. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather "TaTa", and friend who touched the lives of everyone around him.
Maurice graduated from Iowa High School and continued his career as a Safety Coordinator in the oilfield industry, working for esteemed companies such as Grumman and Turner. He married the love of his life, Priscilla, in 1987. Together they built a warm and loving family.Maurice had a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in golfing, fishing, crabbing, and shrimping. He was an avid football fan and cherished the time spent with his family, always making those around him feel special and loved. His generous spirit and kind heart will be profoundly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife Priscilla Boudreaux Conner, daughter Candace Conner McCarthy and her husband Andrew, son Tommy Conner and his wife Lexie, his mother Judy LeBleu Conner, brother Mitchell Conner and his wife Rebecca, sisters Renee Conner Doty, Bernice Conner Zaunbrecher and her husband Jeffery, and his cherished grandchildren Georgia Mae "Bug" and Talia Marie "Butt" McCarthy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Maurice's life and legacy. There will also be a gathering of friends on August 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.
In this time of sorrow, let us come together to remember Maurice's laughter, love, and the precious memories shared. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Maurice was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Conner; and his in-laws, Adam and Gertie Mae Boudreaux.
