Maxine Elizabeth "Liz" Welch Webb

Maxine Elizabeth (Liz) Welch Webb passed away on December 6, 2017 in Lake Charles, LA at the age of 74.

Liz was born November 1, 1943 to Emily LeGros and Harlan Cecil (Sam) Welch in Jennings, LA. After a 32-day courtship, she married Carlos James Elwood Webb, III in Fort Polk, LA. They celebrated their 51st anniversary this past September. 

Liz is survived by her husband Carl, her daughter Sami and son-in-law Douglas Moran, and her grandchildren Maggie and Joseph Moran. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew, and her brother Harlan (Sonny) Welch. 

Liz was a loving friend and a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 10 from 11-2 at Johnson Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 2pm with Pastor Micky Searels of Prevailing Word Apostolic Church officiating.

Memorials may go to Shriner’s Burns Hospital for Children in Galveston, TX.
