Maxine Reed

Fenton – Maxine Marcantel Reed, born February 24, 1939, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the age of eighty-four. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Audrine Pousson Marcantel.

Maxine was a member of St. Charles Borromeo in Fenton. She enjoyed collecting cameos and tending to her garden.

Maxine is survived by her sons, Kyle Reed and wife, Pam of Fenton, Kent Reed and wife, Crystal of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kay Price of Fenton; sister, Janet Fewell. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wade Edward Reed; brothers, Fred Marcantel, Jr., and Russell Marcantel, and son-in-law, John Porter Price.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins in St. Raphael from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m., with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m.
