Mazietta Jane Fruge

Mazietta Jane Fruge, 80, of Lake Charles, died Saturday September 12, 2015 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Fruge was a native of Mamou and a life-long resident of the Lake Charles area. She managed the bar at American Legion Post 1 for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo at the CCOA and Coushatta and was a great Gumbo cook. Preceding her in death are her parents, Ghetto and Celestine Veillon, beloved husband of 58 years, Emery John Fruge and a daughter, Bridget Faye Fruge. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gwen Fruge and grandchildren, John Emery Fruge and Megan Ryan Fruge, all of Lake Charles. As to her wishes, Mrs. Fruge was cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles and no visitation or services are planned.
