Megan Joy Robbins Vidrine, 43, of Sulphur passed away at 10:42 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in a local hospital.
Born on September 14, 1982, in Lake Charles, she was raised in the Sulphur area and was a proud graduate of Sulphur High School, where she was a member of the softball team.
She built a fulfilling career in medical billing and coding and was recently promoted to manager, a reflection of her dedication, hard work, and commitment to those around her.
A woman of the Methodist faith, she cherished the simple joys of life. She loved visiting and spending time with her friends, making memories and enjoying the company of those she held dear.
Above all, her children were the center of her world. She had a tremendous love for them and took great pride and joy in caring for them. Becoming a grandmother brought her another special kind of happiness, and she was immensely proud to be a grandmother. Her daughter, Madelyn, is excited to share the news that she is expecting another one of Megan’s grandchildren in April of 2027.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Madelyn Falcon, Karsyn Vidrine, and Ricky L. Vidrine, Jr.; parents, Sandi Liley Scott and Joel and Cassie Robbins; siblings, Joshua Robbins (Ashley) and Jeremy Robbins (Jackie); maternal grandparents, Walter and Peggy Denton; grandson, Jayce Stine; an aunt, Barbara Lombrano; and uncles, Roger Liley and Trey Denton (Heather). She also leaves behind the father of Karsyn and Ricky, Jr., Ricky L. Vidrine, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Nonnie”.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Bernice Robbins and uncles, James “Butch” and John Robbins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Sulphur. Rev. Craig Davis will officiate. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until the start of the service. Cremation will follow the service.
