Michael Kennedy Aubry, 71, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:29 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in a Sulphur hospital.
Mr. Aubry was born on January 9, 1954, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he lived all of his life. He was a proud graduate of Washington High School and earned a scholarship to Tulane University and later attended McNeese State University, where he majored in accounting.
Mr. Aubry enjoyed a long and successful career with Westlake Chemical, where he retired as an operations manager. He was a devoted member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Mr. Aubry took great pride in taking care of his home and he enjoyed reading science fiction novels, baking sweets in the kitchen, listening to jazz music, watching rocket launches, and building his telescope. He especially cherished his garden.
Above all, Mr. Aubry truly loved his family. They were his heart and his greatest source of pride. He will be remembered for his strong and brave qualities.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lisa Aubry (Cedric Hadnot) and Caleb Aubry; his mother, Shirley J. Aubry; brother, Teddy James Aubry; sister, Celeste E. Aubry-Gradney (Marcus); grandsons, Tyler and Alex Dobson; great grandson, Khyson Dobson; nephews, Jonathan Morgan and Joshua Aubry; niece, Leslie Morgan; and a great niece, Miriam.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Aubry; his father, Kennedy J. Aubry; sisters, Deborah Ann Aubry-Morgan and Linda Marie Aubry; and a brother, David Anthony Aubry.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father Levi Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until leaving for the church at 1:00 PM.
