Michael Bryan Duhon

Michael Bryan Duhon, 50, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Monday, February 6, 2017 in his residence.

Mr. Duhon was born July 6, 1966 in Lake Charles, LA, was a 1984 graduate of LaGrange High School and graduated from McNeese State University in 1989 with his degree in Mass Communications. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, active with the Catholic Student Center, excelled in high school and collegiate debate, editor of the McNeese student newspaper and yearbook.  Mr. Duhon moved back to Lake Charles in 2004 after living several years in Las Vegas.  He worked as General Manager of the Holiday Inn on Lake Street.  He was an avid fan of professional tennis and enjoyed reading.

Mr. Duhon is survived by his father, Reginald “Reggie” Duhon of Iowa, LA; mother, Barbara Ann Duhon of Lake Charles; siblings, Kim LeBlanc and husband Johnny of Moss Bluff children Ashleigh and Amber their children Bryson, Zoie and Charlotte, Tony Duhon of Lake Charles, and Gina Pihlgren children Quinn Duhon and Sophia Duhon and husband Bill of Lake Charles; Cousins Castle “Tripper”, John, Lynn, Joe, Monica “Sissy”, Ricky, Scott, Charmaine and their families; along with lifelong neighborhood-extended-family Don and Pat Pierrotti their children Cindy, Cathy and Kim; and his devoted pet dog, Marla.

His memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
