Michael Joseph deLaunay, born on June 30, 1993, son of James and Christine (Shortridge) deLaunay, passed away May 29, 2021, at the age of 27.
Michael was a graduate of Lacassine High. He was a member of the St. Raphael Catholic Church and loved Buddy Ball and played in the Moss Bluff League.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his parents; brother, James Eric deLaunay (Miriam); grandmother, Claire Shortridge and niece, Isabella deLaunay.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Daniel S. deLaunay.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 10 a.m. Rev. Whitney Miller, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume in the funeral home on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
