Michael Shawn Haig, born in Peoria, Illinois on November 28, 1976, son of Michael Edward Haig and Debra Lynn Lowden, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the age of 44.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Monica “Sheorie” Haig; father, Michael Edward Haig; mother, Debra LaRocca and husband, Paul; children, Shawn “Austin” Haig; Camron “Gage” Haig; Samara Haig; sister, Jeannette Ipatzi and husband, Jose, and numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles LaRocca.
Shawn enjoyed bowling, sports, playing video games and working with his hands. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Visitation will begin Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
