Michael Jay Horak, 73, of Norman, AR, died after a short battle with cancer, on Friday, December 7, 2018 at his daughter’s residence in Lake Charles, LA.
Mr. Horak was born May 11, 1945 in Corpus Christi, TX and lived the past forty years in Norman, AR, where he bought his farm so that he could “Farm out,” which was his favorite saying. He was a graduate of W. B. Ray High School and worked in the flooring business most of his life. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time on the water, and growing Shiitake mushrooms.
Mr. Horak is survived by his wife of forty-five years and the love of his life, Jayne Horak, he will always be her sweet baby; daughter, Michelle Horak; siblings, David Gilbert Horak, Janis Horak Duke, Dorothy Horak Grayson and Luanna Horak Herrada; his granddog, Tulley; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and used in lieu of grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Gilbert Horak; and brothers, Keith Daniel Horak and Patrick Charles Horak.
