Lake Charles – Michael Lee Fontenot, 48, passed away in a local hospital Monday, July 27, 2015.
Michael was born in Lake Charles, LA on October 27, 1966 to James Donald Fontenot, Sr. & Tommye Lopez. He enjoyed making dream catchers, hunting for arrowheads, fishing & spending time with family & friends.
He is survived by his children, Jace Michael Fontenot (Susan) of Lake Charles, Courtnie B Fontenot of Lake Charles & Riley James Fontenot of Trinity, TX; fiancé, Tiffany Hickman of Trinity, TX; mother Tommye Lopez of Lake Charles; sisters, Catherine Fontenot of Lake Charles, Candy Fontenot of Cold Springs, TX & Nikki Schexnider (Wendell) of Lake Arthur; brother, Michael Paul Fontenot of Hot Springs, AR; best friends, Hugh Grice of Moss Bluff & Wayne Hance of Lake Charles; granddaughters, Allison Fontenot, Alessia Simpson and numerous nieces & nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his dad James Donald Fontenot, Sr.; brother, James Donald Fontenot, Jr.; granddaughter, Lillian Jane Fontenot.
Memorial service will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin in funeral at 8 a.m. til time of service. Cremation was under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
