Michael Neal Leubner, 47, of Sulphur passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, in a New Orleans hospital.
Michael was raised in Westlake and was a 1993 graduate of Westlake High School. He has been a lifelong member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Michael was a master plumber and owned L & L Plumbing. He was an avid outdoorsman, even as a child he could be found fishing and hunting, a lifestyle he still shared with his childhood friends and enjoyed teaching to his daughters. Michael loved spending time with his family and friends, especially teasing and playing jokes on them. It was the greatest honor of his life to be Poppa to his two beautiful grandbabies. He will be fondly remembered for his stubborn nature and set ways. Along with his fun personality, he was strong in his faith, and loved his family, which will remain in the heart of all who knew him,
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Misty Courmier Leubner; two daughters, Destiny Authement (Calab) of Sulphur, and Keileigh LeBlanc of Sulphur; two granddaughters, Makaylee and Annistyn Authement; parents, George and Cathy Leubner of Westlake; brother, Jason Leubner (Michelle) of Ragley; Godchildren, Emily and Cameron Leubner, and his mother-in-law, June Courmier.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Waldo and Louise Blocker; paternal grandparents, Bernard Eric and Pearl Leubner; and brother-in-law, Chase Courmier.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake. Deacon Fred Reed will officiate. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur 4PM – 8PM, Monday, April 17, 2023, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6PM.
In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting donations to offset medical expenses.
