Michael Ray Norsworthy

Michael Ray “Mike” Norsworthy, 64, of Lake Charles passed away at 12:24 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021 in Lake Charles.

Mike was born on July 11, 1956 in Dearborn, MI and lived all of his life in Lake Charles where he was a graduate of St. Louis High School.  He loved his family, visiting with others, and loved cooking almost as much as he loved eating.  Mike never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jason Norsworthy of Lake Charles and Sarah Fontenot (Johnathan) of Iowa; siblings, Greg Norsworthy (Cherie) of Lake Charles, Mark Norsworthy (Monica) of Lake Charles, David Norsworthy (Laura) of Oklahoma, and Bryan Norsworthy of Lake Charles; and grandchildren, Layla Norsworthy and Holden, Wilder, and McCoy Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Genella and Douglas Norsworthy.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021 at University Baptist Church.  Mr. Norsworthy’s brother, David Norsworthy, will officiate.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A gathering will begin at 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
