Michael Roth, Sr.

Michael James Roth, Sr., of Ontario, CA passed away on March 6, 2017 at a San Bernadino Hospital. 

Michael was raised in the St. Henry Catholic Parish in Lake Charles and educated at the Immaculate Conception School, graduating from St. Louis High School. Mike never met a person he could not like and he always made it mutual. He worked as a roofer, car salesman, and lastly Roth Eviction in California. His wild wit and “Uncle Frank” impressions delighted everyone as he grew up. Michael lived LIFE his way and was his own man. His big warm smile and openness was contagious and will be missed by all.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Deshotel Roth and a brother, Gary Roth.

Michael leaves behind three sons of which he was very proud of, Michael Roth Jr., Lake Charles, Matthew Roth, Lake Charles and John Roth, Carlyss; four grandchildren; mother of his boys, Rhonda Roth, Westlake; brother, Chris Roth and wife Jeannette, Virginia; sister-in-law, Theresa Roth, LeBleu Settlement, and two sisters, Sheila Roth, Austin, TX and Agnes Schultz Roth, Crystal Beach, TX; aunts, Rene Gayle, husband Pat and Jeannette Roth, both of Lake Charles; and a large extended family, including cousins Alan, Scotty, Louis, Lee and Shirley, all of Lake Charles and Lisa, of Houston. The family is saddened by their loss, but look forward to knowing that they will meet again in heaven.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday March 12, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home with a Celebration of his Life to begin at 2:00 PM. Deacon Garrett Caraway will officiate. A private family interment service will be at a later date.
