Miegel John Johnson, born on August 18, 1938, son of the late Wilson and Isabelle (LeBleu) Johnson, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the age of 82.
Miegel was a 1957 graduate of Iowa High School. He retired as a heavy equipment operator and later was self-employed. Miegel loved listening and dancing to French music.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, 4 sisters, adopted daughter and her family- Debbie, Mike, and Cain Cardinal.
Miegel is survived by his wife, Dubbie Johnson; son, Trent Johnson of Moss Bluff; daughter, Pam LaFleur (Billy) of Moss Bluff; stepsons, Troy Sonnier (Mary Beth) of Moss Bluff; Eric Sonnier (Erika) of Iowa; grandkids, Ryan Cardinal, Jodi Moore (Corey) Caleb LaFleur (Sidney), Tyler Sonnier, Dayton Sonnier (Kindsey), Gavin Sonnier, Ava Sonnier, Ethan Sonnier; great grandchildren, Addy and Bryce Moore, Kyler, and Kannon Sonnier.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Alvin Winfrey, officiant. Burial will follow in the Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
