Mildred Ovina Vincent

Mildred Ovina Vincent, 87, of Sulphur passed away on May 24, 2025, in her residence surrounded by family. She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, and a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and she graduated from Sulphur High School in 1956. Mildred enjoyed spending time outside taking care of her yard, her garden and beautiful flower beds. She loved cooking for her friends and family, listening to good music and her sense of humor was the best. Especially when she would prank her brothers. She enjoyed living life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, David Wayne Vincent (Sharilyn), Deanna Marburger (Mark), Chris Arnold (Mitch), and Donald Paul Vincent (Miriam); eight grandchildren, Holly (Adam), Chad (Christine), Travis (Desra), Christina (Chris), Courtney (Shane), Seth (Shawntel), Tori (Josh) and Allison; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Meche (Jackie). She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Lee Vincent; her parents, Cyprien and Louise; and brother, Francis “Blackie” Meche.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Father Joe Gosselin, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur, La. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:00 PM, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur, La. Visitation will resume Friday, May 30, 2025, at 8:00 AM until we depart for the church.

Pallbearers will be, Mark Marburger, Chris Fontenot, Travis Marburger, Josh Hebert, Chad Vincent, and Caiden Arnold.
