Lake Charles – Mildred Marie Trahan, 84, passed away in her residence on February 20, 2017.
Mildred was born in Iowa on February 10, 1933 to the late Joseph D. and Delia (Gay) Trahan. She was a graduate of Iowa High and attended St. Raphael Catholic Church. Mildred retired from AT & T, formerly Bell South. She loved her dogs, Mr. French, Pablo, Boudreaux and Frida.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings, Fred Trahan (Betty), Richard and William Trahan, Ruby Stratton and Jo Ann Meador; nephews, Gary & Greg Stratton; great nieces, Brittany Trahan & Brooklyn Stratton; great-great nephews, Cason Trahan & Blaise Stratton and numerous nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Raleigh, Lee, John Edward, Warren and Joseph “Junior” Trahan, Ruth Smith and Jane Chassion.
Visitation is Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services are Wednesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Mr. Roy Platt officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery.
