Mona Gene Murray

Mona Gene Murray, 80, of Westlake, LA, died at 2:40 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in a local hospital.

Ms. Murray was born October 24, 1936 in Melville, LA, where she lived there and the Lake Charles area all of her life before settling in Westlake, LA over twenty years ago. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God and enjoyed reading her bible.

Ms. Murray is survived by her children, Marlene Savant and husband Harold of Denham Springs, LA, Rene Durflinger and wife Teresa of Westlake, LA and Donna Bergeron of Gillis; son-in-law, Jeffrey Nansen of Moss Bluff; brother, John Murray and wife Lorraine of Westlake, LA; sisters, Mary Monceaux and husband Donnie of Moss Bluff and Sherry Alleman and husband Boyd of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Henrietta Murray; brother, Ray Murray; and a daughter, Paula Nansen.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
