Myra Sue Tabarelli

Myra Sue Whitaker Clark Tabarelli, 77, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:30 AM on Monday, October 10, 2016 in her residence.

 

Mrs. Tabarelli was born January 6, 1939 in Shreveport, LA. She was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and most recently attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She worked as a secretary for a number of years and also was the chairman for the special needs school at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. Mrs. Tabarelli was a member of the Apartment Association. She loved playing Scrabble, growing flowers and gardening and enjoyed making pictures with dried flowers. She will always be remembered for her honesty and integrity, even if some people didn’t believe it, and as a loving, caring, and elegant woman who was a perfectionist.

 

Mrs. Tabarelli is survived by her husband of twenty-years, Rino Paul Tabarelli; children, Mike Clark of Lake Charles and Pat Clark and wife Allison of Florida; step-children, Paul Michael Tabarelli of Lake Charles and Caterina Rose Tabarelli of Lake Charles; and five grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her son, David Clark; parents, Clarence and Gladys Whitaker; brother, Phillip Leroy Whitaker and sister, Linda Welsh.

 

Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Father Nathan Long will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
