Myron Dupre East, a devoted family man and proud veteran, departed this life on August 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on May 23, 1954, in Gueydan, Louisiana, Myron spent his life in the heart of Sulphur, Louisiana, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

A longtime boilermaker, Myron was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. He was also a proud Marine, serving his country with honor and integrity. Those who knew him will remember his infectious passion for football-cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and LSU with unwavering loyalty.

Myron's greatest joy, however, was his family. He was a proud father to his daughters Juanita and Jennifer, his son Jordan, and stepson BJ. His heart swelled with pride at the accomplishments of his 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter, and he cherished each moment spent watching his loved ones play sports and engage in their passions.

Myron had an unwavering love for home improvement projects, often seen with a tool in hand, fixing equipment and enhancing his beloved home and property. He enjoyed lively discussions about politics and sharing stories, always ready to impart his wisdom and wit.

Myron is also survived by his brothers Royce, Leonard, Jerry, Bobby, and sisters Angelita (Sissy), Laura, and Alice. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Alice East, son Myron Dupree East II, great granddaughters Coraline and Everleigh, brother Albert Jr. (Red); sister, Lydia.
