Nadel Joseph Gaspard

Nadel Joseph Gaspard, 89, passed away on February 22, 2017 in the comfort of his own home.

Mr. Gaspard was born and raised in Lake Charles and served his country in the US Navy. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, especially when he had his camp at Toledo Bend. Everyone remembers Nadel as a great cook and he liked to boil various Cajun meals. He even had a vegetable garden to supplement his cooking. Mr. Gaspard was the founder of ACE Air Conditioning here in Lake Charles and worked very hard throughout the years to build the company to what it is now. Most importantly he liked to spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Nadel is survived by five sons, Greg Gaspard (Donna), Doug Gaspard, Mark Gaspard (Lori), Todd Gaspard (Flo), and Brent Gaspard (Kelly); son-in-law, Steve Adams; two brothers, Nolan Gaspard, and John Gaspard; four sisters, Enell Nash, Gerdell Theriot, Nelva Murphy, Sylvia Mangum; eight grandchildren, Heather Yeates (Paul), Monique Gaspard, Brett Gaspard, Lance Gaspard, Cody Gaspard, Grant Gaspard, Remington Gaspard, and Keziah Gaspard; six great-grandchildren, Alivia Gaspard, Gracie Gaspard, Chase Gaspard, Keagan Gaspard, Kenner Gaspard, and Wyatt Gaspard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Telice Gaspard; loving wife of 65 years, Beverly Gaspard ; daughter, Debra Gaspard; grandson, Zachary Gaspard; daughter-in-law, Cyndi Gaspard; two brothers, Glen Gaspard and Kirby Gaspard; and five sisters, Louise McCardle, Verda Williams, Letha Cormier, Carolyn Primeaux, and Thelma Shepherd.

A funeral service will held at Johnson Funeral Home at 2:45PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Deacon Fred Reed will officiate. Visitation will begin Saturday at the funeral home from Noon until the start of the service.
