Nadine Falcon Davis Rayon

Nadine Falcon Davis Rayon passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on January 21, 1948, Nadine was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She attended LaGrange High School and built her life around her faith, her family, and serving others.

Nadine was the kind of person who never met a stranger. She genuinely enjoyed talking with people and getting to know them. She spent many years at home raising her children before later working at Kmart and Stine. Eventually, she found the work she truly loved as a caregiver at Villa Maria Retirement Center. She enjoyed sitting with the residents, listening to their stories, and making them feel cared for.

A devoted Catholic, Nadine remained faithful to her church throughout her life. She was a long time member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, and then spent over thirty years at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Her faith was evident in the way she lived and in the care she showed to those around her.

She was an excellent cook, and her family often joked that she could put a brown paper sack in a pot and somehow make it taste like rice and gravy. Seafood, especially boiled crabs, was always one of her favorite meals.

Nadine enjoyed reading, playing Pokeno and Yahtzee, tending to her rose garden, and spending time outdoors. She loved visiting with friends, especially her longtime friend Loretta Billedeaux, and she always had a soft spot for animals, caring for many dogs throughout the years.

She also loved to travel. Family vacations took her to the beaches she loved, the mountains of Tennessee and Colorado, and just about anywhere her family wanted to go. Even though she never learned to swim, she always enjoyed being near the water.

If there was one thing Nadine enjoyed almost as much as spending time with her family, it was shopping. She loved finding gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and rarely visited without bringing them something special. They brought her tremendous joy.

Nadine was also known for worrying about the people she loved. Whether they needed it or not, she believed it was her job to make sure everyone was okay.

She is survived by her children, Walter Davis (Rebecca), Lisa Serice (Jay), and James Davis (Vanessa); her siblings, Pat LeBlanc (David), Calvin Falcon (Debbie), and Keith Falcon (Lou); her grandchildren, Mallary Davis, Amanda Mason, Shaye Serice, Jackson Serice, Abigail Serice, and Hunter Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Aubrey Mason, Addyson Mason, Alyssa Mason, and Avary Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Falcon and Ursa Richard Falcon; her husband, Paul Ray Davis; her brother, Richard Falcon; her niece, Melissa Langhart; and her great-nephew, Tanner Langhart.

A funeral Mass for Nadine will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Our Lady of Good Counsel, with Father Paul Jussen officiating. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. and continue until the procession departs for the church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical teams at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, as well as her granddaughter and personal nurse, Amanda Mason, for the exceptional care, compassion, and love shown to Nadine.
