Nadlene Louise Thomas, born in Sulphur on February 13, 1962, daughter of the late Arthur Steve and Roseanner Frank, passed away in a local care facility on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the age of sixty-three.
She was a graduate of Vinton High School, and a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Nadlene worked as a CNA for many years, she also worked in the cafeteria for Calcasieu Parish Schools. She was very active with her church as a deaconess. Nadlene found great joy as the youth leader for her church, and she was also very active with the Iowa Senior Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Thomas III; brother, Jerry Frank.
Nadlene is survived by her sons, Willie Thomas IV (Erica), Terrance Thomas; daughters, Brenna Jacob (Courtney), Bareka Edwards (Jeremy); brothers, Frederick Green (Peggy), Brent Frank (Shalissia), Jerome Steve (Delores); sisters, Paula Temple, Tina Johnson; grandchildren, Kaydence McArthur, Willie Thomas V, and Courtlynn Jacob. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11 a.m., Rev. Braylon Harris, celebrant. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation begins in the church at 10 a.m.
