Natalie Dean Lewis Johnson, 89, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:23 PM on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 5, 1927 in Red Oak, IA, has lived in Southwest Louisiana for the past forty-five years with many of those years in the DeQuincy area. She will always be remembered as a fun loving woman who enjoyed cooking, baking and visiting with family members and friends.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Steve Johnson and wife Pat of Lake Charles; daughter, Michelle Van Winkle and husband Michael of Lake Charles; sister, Lynn Franks and husband Randy of IA; grandchildren, Timmy Johnson of Oakdale, LA, Michael Johnson of Longville, LA, Tammy Clark and husband David of Lake Charles, Mitch Johnson and wife Kristi of Lake Charles and Billy Kahrs and wife Maria of Lake Charles; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Wayne Johnson; and her parents, Nathan and Mary Rupe Lewis.
Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Scotty Poole will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the start of the service.
