Iowa – Nathan Paul Hesse, 27, passed away in an auto accident on Friday, February 10, 2017 in Duson, LA.
Nathan was born in Baton Rouge on June 21, 1989 to Paul and Darlene Hesse. He was a graduate of Iowa High School class of 2007 and graduated Sowela Culinary School. His passion for cooking and food led him to a successful career as a manager at Quaker Steak & Lube since its opening in 2014. Nathan loved fishing with his son, hunting with his grandpa at the camp, and attending the big family cookouts. Nathan was a devote fan of the New York Jets and LSU Tigers.
Survivors include his son, Tucker Hesse; parents; Paul and Darlene Hesse; sisters, Danielle Hesse, Emily and husband Garrett Messina; maternal grandparents, Henry and Mollie Cooke, Jr.; Paternal grandparents, J.C. and Margo Waters; fiancé, Amber Trahan; niece, Olivia Messina; mother of his son, Christina Sikes and numerous friends and family members he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be in Iowa First United Methodist Church on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Dr. Doug Ezell and Dr. David DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation begins Sunday February 12, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home and will continue Monday in Iowa First United Methodist Church at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Services are under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
