Lake Charles-Nathan Rougeau, 83, passed away in a local care facility on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
Brother Nathan Rougeau, was born on May 1, 1931, in Iowa, Louisiana to T’Boy and Cora (Chatman) Rougeau . He departed this life on December 3, 2014.
Nathan accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church in Iowa, Louisiana,
He continued to worship at Zion under the leadership of Rev. Herman Weston, where he sang in the male chorus and served as a deacon until his illness.
Nathan worked as a farmer with Johnny Dennison for several years, and was a handi-man to those in need.
He is preceded in death by his parent’s, two sisters; Florence Dugas, and Bertha Pierfax; two brothers, Morris and Carlton Rougeau.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his children; Elizabeth Ann, Linda, and Elsie Rougeau, and son Nathan Roland Rougeau, one sister Pearl Hudson, of Katy Texas, two brothers, Melvin (Dorothy) Rougeau, of Lake Charles Louisiana, and Raymond Rougeau, of Ypsalanti, Michigan, one god daughter Stacy Carter, of Houston Texas and his self adopted daughter Cicely Moore of Iowa La. the Zion Church Family and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
