Nathan Yancy Conner

Nathan Yancy Conner, 45, of Grand Lake passed away at 3:51 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in his residence following a 20 month battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Nathan was born on August 19, 1977 in Lake Charles. He worked as a mechanic for more than 20 years. 

He was a man of many trades including building things and tinkering with engines.  Nathan took pleasure in fishing and being there for family and friends.  He will be remembered as a hard-working family man with a big heart and easy going personality.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 9 years, Kristi Conner of Grand Lake; children, Madeline Huse of Lake Charles and Breanna Conner of Iowa; sister, Bridgette Harkins of Moss Bluff; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cheryl and Famo Conner and a brother, Numa Stevens.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  The Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
