LeBleu Settlement-Nelson James Cradeur, 74, died Friday, February 14, 2014 in a local hospital after an extended illness.
Nelson was born September 8, 1939 in Big Lake to the late Clement and Lillie Mae Cradeur. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, Lena Belle Cradeur; three sons, Daniel (Donna), Darrell (Cindy), and Doug (Lou Ann); one daughter, Kathy (Ernie) Speer; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Leona (Don) Elliott and Sonya (Malcolm) Richard; sister-in-law, Carolyn Scalisi; his loving dog, “Rosie”, and many loving relatives and lifetime friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carroll Cradeur and granddaughter, Santana.
He loved being with his grandchildren and had a great passion for horses. Watching his grandchildren ride horses brought him great joy. He will be remembered as “Paw.” Nelson was a member of Painters Local 783 and worked for Sline Industries at PPG Inc. for 39 years.
Services will be at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 5 p.m. with Father Roland Vaughn and Bro. Rick Batchelor officiating. Visitation will begin Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
