Nettie Mae Hoffpauir

Nettie Mae Hoffpauir, 86, of Lake Charles, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 in a local care facility.

Ms. Hoffpauir was born on February 18, 1931 in Lake Charles to Travis and Ruth Hoffpauir. She became a 1948 graduate of LaGrange High School. After working many job titles, for more than 20 years, she retired from Gulf National Bank in Lake Charles. Throughout the years she enjoyed her family and friends at family reunions as well as teaching Sunday school at the First Church of Nazarene for multiple generations.

Left to cherish Ms. Hoffpauir’s memory are her brothers, Leo Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, Ivy Hoffpauir and wife Joyce of Houston, TX; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Travis Benson Hoffpauir and Ruth Dailey Hoffpauir; siblings, Rev. Larry Hoffpauir, Austin Hoffpauir, and Margery Triplett.

Ms. Nettie’s funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 1:30PM. Reverend John Hoffpauir will officiate. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday morning at the funeral home from 11:00AM until the time of the service.
