Nonie Margaret Liles

Nonie Margaret Liles passed away on March 12, 2013, after a short illness. Her 91

years of life will be celebrated among her family and friends at a Visitation from 4:30 p.m.to 6:30 p.m. on March 15, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home and her Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 16, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Prien Memorial Park on Country Club Road.

Nonie was married for 65 years to H. Ralph Liles, who preceded her in death. They

enjoyed an active life of traveling and boating with their family and friends. Nonie was a

Charter member of the University United Methodist Church and was also active in her

Joy Church Circle the Stonerollers Sunday School Class, the African Violet Society, the Lake Charles Garden Club, the Lake Charles Power Squadron and her beloved TGIF group.

She was an artist, seamstress and homemaker. Nonie was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy S. Brown, Sr. and Denise Battraw Brown, her brother, Roy S. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Gloria Brown, and her sister-in-laws, Geneva Liles Brown and Myrna Liles Bond.

Nonie was survived, to cherish many memories, by her daughter, Mary M. Gould

and her husband, Richard Gould, of Taos, New Mexico, her son, Henry R. Liles, and his

wife, Barbara J. Liles, of Lake Charles, her grandchildren, Ashley O'Brian, Erik O'Brian,

Hayley Liles Silver, H. Carter Liles and Stephen K. Liles, as well as six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Education Fund of the Lake

Charles Power Squadron.
