Norma Dean Broussard Laviolette 88 of Lake Charles, Louisiana, born on April 29, 1935, in Lake Charles, gained her heavenly wings on October 7, 2023, in Calcasieu Community Care Center. Mom was under the care of Amedisys Hospice Care. The family would like to thank facility, caregivers, nurses, case workers, and Hospice for the excellent care given to our mom. You were all wonderful & Compassionate!
Survivors include her brothers, Rudy Broussard (Carol) of Florida; E.J. Broussard (Darlene) of Texas; 2 sons, Mitchell Glen Laviolette (Kathy) of Rayne; Logan James Laviolette (Lorian) of Brazil; 3 daughters, Janice Ann Laviolette of Lake Charles; Stephanie Ann Laviolette of Georgia; Melissa Ann Laviolette of Lake Charles; 10 grandchildren; Kati Lynn Laviolette of Duson; Mason Glen Laviolette of Rayne; Amanda Rachelle Ardoin of Iowa; Georgia Ann Cormier of Westlake; Brooke Lynn Hannah of Georgia; Deannie Ann Mendoza of Georgia; Emilie Paige Lee of Georgia; Lucas Dean McBride of Georgia; Logan Heith Laviolette of Texas; William “Joseph” Laviolette of Lake Charles; Jace Ryan Laviolette of Wyoming; Khoury Michael Kraus of Lake Charles; and 20 great-grandchildren; and fifth generation of 1 great-great grandson, Liam Guidry.
As per her request, her cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
Graveside service will be in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant.
