Norma Jane Boudreaux

Norma Jane Boudreaux, 78, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at 11:54 PM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in a Welsh care facility.

Mrs. Boudreaux was born May 7, 1942 in Eunice, LA, was a graduate of Gillis High School, and has lived in Lake Charles since 1967.  She enjoyed babysitting in her home and loved all of her babies that affectionately called her “Majean”.  She volunteered as a Gingham Lady, a division of the Historic Society and was a member of the Cajun French Music Association and the Calcasieu Parish Historical Society.  Mrs. Boudreaux was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was part of the Bereavement group and the Adoration Chapel.  She enjoyed watching birds, tending to her garden, and loved hosting Halloween parties.

Mrs. Boudreaux is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Guillott and husband Jeff of Westlake; grandchildren, Kyle Guillott and Kaley Guillott Ortiz and husband Chris; brothers, Jimmy Leger and wife Carol and Silton Leger and wife Jennifer, all of Gillis; sister, Joyce Anderson and husband James of Lake Charles; and sister-in-law, Dawn Leger.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifteen years, Ronald W. Boudreaux; parents, Emery and Pearl Granger Leger; brothers, Joseph Milbon Leger, Lee Allen Leger, Sr., and Wilbert Leger; and infant sister, Shirley Ann Leger.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (mask required).  Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at Lake City Baptist Church on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue at Lake City Baptist Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM.
