Norma Jean Monceaux Manuel (85) passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was a lifelong Vinton resident and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vinton. After graduating from Sulphur High School, she met Fulton Manual and they were married in 1958 and started their family soon after. She loved spending time with her family and friends and working with her flowers, she loved to go camping and taking many road trips through the years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Lisa Manuel Richard and husband, Raymond, Wendy Manuel, Terri Manuel Dickerson and husband, Johnny, Michael Manuel and Jon Reaud, and great granddaughter Lexi Manuel who they raised as their daughter. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and her brothers, Donnie Monceaux and Dickey Monceaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton Manuel, her parents, Alton and Belle Broussard Monceaux, infant son, Ted Allen Manuel; grandson, Timothy Brice Maricle; and siblings, A.J. Monceaux, Jr., Sadie Peveto, and Diane McCardle.
A celebration of Norma’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur at 5 PM. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the celebration of life starts at 5 PM. Services will be officiated by Brother Wayne Trahan.
