With heavy hearts and fond memories, we celebrate the life of Nyna Jean Lust, who passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in her home in Sulphur, Louisiana. Born on September 13, 1951, in Dequincy, LA, Nyna was a spirited soul who brought warmth and laughter to everyone around her.
Nyna was a proud mom to her two daughters, Tracey Navarre and Jeana Lust, who were her greatest joy. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and unforgettable moments. An avid reader and outdoor enthusiast, Nyna found joy in nature and took every opportunity to travel, explore new places, and embrace new adventures.
Her creative spirit shone through in her home projects and crafting endeavors. Whether she was painting a room or making something beautiful, Nyna put her heart into it. A true lover of animals, she cherished her dogs and treated them with the love and care they deserved. And when it came to food, especially if it was lobster, Nyna's zest for life shone even brighter-there was nothing she loved more than indulging in a good meal surrounded by loved ones.
Nyna is survived by her daughters, Jeana Lust and Tracey Navarre; brother David Robinson (Angie); sister-in-law Carla Staggs (Andy); aunt Neysa Marcantel; and several nieces and a nephew, including Kaytlynn, Bethany, Emily, Mandy, and Jeff. Her vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Lust; her parents, Ira Verne and Curtis Robinson; uncles, Larry, Gene, Sonny Marcantel; aunt, Georgia "Tinker" Boyd (Harvey); grandmother,, Bertha Marcantel; grandfather, George Marcantel; mother in law, Irene Guidry Lust; father in law, Howard Lust.
A celebration of Nyna's life will take place on July 24, 2026. Family and friends are invited to Johnson & Robison Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM to share their love and support. Following the service at 1:00 PM, we will accompany Nyna to her final resting place at Perkins Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
Join us as we share stories, laughter, and memories of Nyna-an extraordinary woman who lived life fully and loved deeply. In her honor, let us carry forward her spirit of adventure and kindness.
