Oda David "Buster" Vital

Lacassine – Oda David “Buster” Vital, born October 26, 1926, son of the late Odelon and Elodie Lambert Vital, passed away in his residence Sunday, June 16, 2019, at the age of 92.
Buster lived in Lacassine all of his life and worked for the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board for 26 years and Lacassine Fuel for 45 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, painting, carpentry, and helping those in need.
Buster is survived by his daughters, Helen R. Vital of Lacassine; Bernalla Kay Prudhomme of Lacassine; son, Terry D. Vital (Kim) of Huntsville, Alabama; Patrick Vital (Regina) of Lacassine; brother; Johnnie Brown (Dianna); 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Delsie Mae Dugas Vital; daughter, Patsy Vital; sisters, Dorothy Bell Joseph; Mable Andrus; Marie Jones; Alice Prejean; brothers, Ira Vital; Louis Vital; Lee “L. D.” Vital; Clarence Vital; Dupree Vital; Johnny Lambert.
Funeral services are Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Louis Currie will officiate. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., and will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
