Oda Soileau

Oda Soileau, Jr., 70, passed away at his residence on June 8, 2017.

Mr. Soileau was born February 22, 1947 to Oda Soileau, Sr. and Edith Gothreaux. He spent most of his life in Lake Charles and worked in industrial painting, paint and body, and most recently as an electrician. He will be remembered for his fun-loving and humorous nature and for being an excellent cook. He enjoyed fishing, breaking horses, and Cajun and Classic Country music.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Angela Lee Markham (John) of Katy, TX, Charlene Newman (Kenzie) of Lake Charles, LA, Oda Soileau, III of Lake Charles, LA, Jason Oda Soileau of Lake Charles, LA; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 8 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Deemer Soileau.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Funeral home on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3pm.
