Odilia Ann (Cormier) Little, 81, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home in Vinton, La. Ann was a descendant of settlers of the Toomey area. Placide & Sarah Cormier and Edvard & Amelia Broussard arrived in the Toomey area in the 1870s and 1880s and settled on family land now known as 4L Farm. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Vinton, La. Ann was a graduate of Vinton High School Class of 1956. She attended McNeese State University for one year before graduating from Hotel Dieu X-Ray Technology School, Beaumont, Tx. She worked as an X-Ray Technician in the Sulphur and Lake Charles area for 30 years. Ann also worked at the Louisiana Tourist Information Center, Vinton, La., for 9 years. She was co-owner of the Vinton Christmas Tree Farm for 12 years.
Survivors include her son, Clarence Wade Little, Vinton, La.; her daughter, Lynette Little and husband Clyde Thompson, New Orleans, La.; and her beloved dog and constant companion, T-Bou. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Dorise (Broussard) Cormier; and her husband of 47 years, Clarence James Little.
In respect of her wishes, her body will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be later. Friends are requested to leave a donation to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Vinton, La., the Humane Society or their own favorite charity.
