Ona Ormsby

Ona Mell Richard Ormsby, 85, passed away on October 21, 2026. Born in Morse, La. in 1941, Ona lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She enjoyed traveling and was always up for a car ride. Ona had many joys in her life, but she was most proud to be the mother of Connie (Scott) Miller, Jamie (Bobby) Clouthier, Bonnie (Randy) Kotara and Jason (Alicia) Dennis. Some of her joy over the years came from sleepovers, parties and time with her grandchildren Lyle Miller, Lane Miller, Monty Galley, Cheramie Hebert, Cody Clouthier, Paden Kotara, Seth Kotara, Mary Nunez, Jate Lacombe, Kali Dennis, John Dennis, Kaci Dennis and fourteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and husband.

She will be laid to rest at Mimosa Pines- South at 2:00 on Monday, October 26th. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Sulphur on Monday, October 26th from 10:00 until departure to cemetery.

We could not have asked for anything more than the love, kindness, and compassion shown to Ona and our family during this time.
