Pamela Faith Broach Cloar, 69, of Topsy passed away at 3:15 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in a local hospice facility.
Mrs. Cloar was born on November 30, 1956, in Mayfield, Kentucky, where she was raised and graduated from Mayfield High School. She went on to earn her teaching degree from Murray State University and later obtained a master's degree from McNeese State University.
Mrs. Cloar and her family moved to Merryville, Louisiana, where they made their home for 30 years. For the past two years, she had resided in Topsy, Louisiana.
Mrs. Cloar devoted her career to education as a teacher in the Calcasieu Parish School System. After many years of dedicated service, she retired, leaving a lasting impact on the students and colleagues whose lives she touched.
In her retirement, Mrs. Cloar enjoyed spending time reading, one of her favorite pastimes.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 48 years, Jake Cloar; children, Kerry Cloar and Dawn Kallsen (John); sister, Rita Simpson (Marv); granddaughter, Destiny Gibson; great grandson, Denver Gibson; and great granddaughter, Divinity Michelle Lynn Cauthron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Martha Broach; sons, Christopher and Nathaniel Cloar; and granddaughter, Amari Cloar.
A visitation will begin in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM with a cremation to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Merryville Cemetery.
